I just came back from vacation where somehow, my Marisol aquired large black spots on her face and on her left arm (they look like doll bruises). I have tried wipping her face with Kleenex, but that didn't really help. She also has a shiny spot on her nose - how do I get rid of that?

Thanks - I appreciate the help!!!

Mr.Clean Magic Eraser is AMAZING on shiny spots.

Use a very slightly damp Magic Eraser, you certainly do not want the sponge dripping wet.It is easier if you cut one of the sponges in 1/2 or ever 1/4.

Rub gently in a circular motion.Stop ever 30 seconds or so, and dry the area with a soft cloth, an old t-shirt works well.

For minor spots, the shine will be gone very quickly. For worse spots, you will want to continue rubbing, then drying and checking until you see improvment.Keep at it, and soon the shiny spot will be totally gone- really!

Be careful in painted areas.A little light scrubbing is ok, but too much will remove paint.

My guess is that Magic Eraser will take care of the dark spots you are seeing too.

    Good luck!

Oh, and it is ok to use light pressure if a spot is stubborn.

Here is the website if you are not familar with Magic Eraser- available for a couple of bucks for a 2 pack on the household cleaner isle- MAGIC ERASER

Acne medicine (like Oxy) works on dark spots with repeated (several times) applications!

I would first try baking soda and water and see if that helps

next I would try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

if that doesn't work try non-acetone nailpolish remover if the marks are in a non-painted area (don't use on cheeks, lips, eyebrows).

For scratches or shiny spots in her vinyl, try this product called MicroMesh. It is a fine sandpaper with a fabric backing used by modeling hobbyists. It may remove the color from her vinyl, so test on the bottom of her foot or back of her neck or some place unseen, first.

    Good luck!
